The University of Iowa Department of Anesthesia is seeking faculty for a position(s) in:
Pediatric & Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology. Appointment rank may be at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level and to either the tenure track, research track or clinical (non-tenure) track consistent with clinical experience and research interest.
Appointment at the rank of Instructor (non-track) may also be considered.

Requirements:

Candidates of all experience levels are encouraged to apply.

Applicants must have a medical school degree (or equivalent degree), show successful completion of an approved residency program in anesthesiology & fellowship (if applicable).

The selected candidate for the position must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active Iowa medical license.

Candidates must be board-certified in Anesthesiology (or non-US Board equivalent) or be in the certification process (pending completion of residency or fellowship).
On occasion, individuals trained outside of the United States who are certified by an equivalent national certification group may be considered.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.

Desirable qualifications:

Fellowship training or equivalent clinical experience in any of the subspecialty areas.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working effectively in an inclusive environment and be comfortable with team-based anesthesia care.

Interest in teaching and/or basic or clinical research.

Faculty appointments with significant administrative/leadership responsibilities must include a required qualification about job-related experience with fostering a welcoming and respectful work/academic environment or otherwise demonstrate the ability to foster a welcoming and respectful work/academic environment.

Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any misconduct history or pending research misconduct investigation including but not limited to sexual misconduct in prior employment and provide a related release and will be subject to a criminal background and credential check.
