Avante Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced and dedicated

Human Resources Manager

to lead HR and payroll functions at the facility level in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. This critical role ensures the smooth management of recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, payroll, and safety programs. Additionally, the HR Manager will oversee the facility's safety/loss prevention and workers' compensation programs, ensuring compliance with HR and Payroll policies, procedures, and best practices. Occasional weekend manager-on-duty responsibilities may apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to ensure a seamless start for new hires.
Manage employee benefits, employee relations, and HR compliance to foster a supportive work environment.
Oversee facility safety programs, loss prevention, and workers' compensation.
Administer and enforce HR and payroll policies to maintain consistency and compliance.
Qualifications:
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively read, write, speak, and understand English.
Skilled in making independent HR decisions with patience, tact, and a positive attitude.
Familiarity with employment laws, wage/hour regulations, OSHA standards, payroll, and employee relations practices.
Experience with ADP Vantage, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), and OnShift timekeeping system is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years in HR/Payroll administration, with healthcare experience strongly preferred.
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or higher and PHR certification preferred.

Positive, approachable, and team-oriented, with a commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment.
Able to maintain a "big picture" perspective, balancing employee satisfaction with regulatory compliance.
Strong coaching, training, and orientation skills, and enthusiasm for team-building events.
