The HR Shared Services Specialist is responsible for resolving and managing employee questions and requests for support that are received through the HR Help Desk. Conducts research, managing follow ups and hosting consults to provide a consistent, positive customer experience when resolving inquiries. Responsible for curating, updating and maintaining relevant and up-to-date HR support tools and resources to enable employee and manager self-service.

SUMMARY
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Responsible for resolving employee questions and inquiries about HR programs and policies with an ownership mentality, including engaging in hands-on customer-facing resolution when needed.
Maintains HR's resources and support tools to support self-service for employees, managers and leaders.
Supports awareness and training activities for agency staff efforts when HR implements new or updates existing technology, programs, and resources; ensures self-service resources are refreshed accordingly.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Stays up to date on the latest HR operating procedures, policies and scope of services, including taking full ownership of understanding Workday configuration, processes, and procedures in order to provide excellent customer service to our employees.
Supports HR administrative and employee onboarding tasks including but not limited to: invoice processing, audit support, mail, employment verification, attestations, candidate fingerprinting and document verification.
Other duties and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
2 years of experience in human resources.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Associate's degree or equivalent in human resources or business administration from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Reliable transportation to and from worksites as needed.
Required to travel on-site once a week (less than 25% of the time).
Ability to handle confidential information.
Maintains client and employee privacy, including protecting the confidentiality, safeguarding the integrity and availability, and limiting the use and disclosure of patient Protected Health Information (PHI) to authorized individuals and entities.
Participates in, conducts, and sustains performance quality improvement activities according to designated role and responsibilities.
Sensitivity to service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills.

COMPUTER SKILLS
Advanced proficiency in a Windows environment including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.

COMPENSATION:
$68,640.00 USD - $78,936.00 USD
In accordance with California law, the expected pay range for this position is included in this posting. The actual compensation will be determined based on factors permitted by law. New hires will be offered a salary at the starting point of the range to maintain internal inequity and allow opportunity for future salary growth. CII salaries are determined based on comprehensive internal and external market analysis, as well as the skills, education, and experience relevant to each position.
