*About the Role:*

The Flink Platform team is at the forefront of building a robust control plane for the Flink product, leveraging advanced database storage to ensure high reliability and efficiency. With a vision centered on innovation and excellence, this team is critical to advancing Confluent's Data in Motion initiative and is committed to supplying the industry with solutions that cater to evolving stream processing demands.

*What You Will Do:*

+ Develop a high-availability control plane architecture for Flink, ensuring it is resilient, scalable, and can manage the lifecycle of the necessary resources efficiently

+ You will play a crucial role in designing, developing and operationalizing high performance, scalable, reliable and resilient systems

+ Independently drive execution of software projects to deliver complex projects in production with a focus on quality

+ Troubleshoot issues and improve operations for complex technical stack that spans all the 3 cloud service providers

*What You Will Bring:*

+ 10+ years of relevant software development experience.

+ Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of database internals, extensive experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on designing and building complex systems, especially those

+ involving advanced distributed architectures.

+ Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, capable of translating complex requirements into effective solutions.

+ Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams.

+ Experience: Proficiency in an object-oriented programming language such as Java or Golang.

+ Hands-On Approach: A candidate who enjoys being hands-on and is passionate about diving into the details of software development and problem-solving.

This position has an annual estimated salary of $191,790 - $208,575, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package.
