Group Home Supervisor

Access Services is hiring a Group Home Supervisor to work in our CLA (Community Living Arrangement) group homes in Bethlehem and Allentown, PA!

This supervisor will work in our Community Living Arrangements Program providing daily supervision to direct support staff. The staff being supervised work with individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism in our Community Loving Arrangement homes. The supervisor will ensure that all program objectives are being met and that the services provided meet the needs of those being served in compliance with all licensing standards and Access Services' quality standards.
Essential Functions
1.

Efficiently administer the program including:
Oversee the management of finances and fiscal decisions for assigned homes
Assist in the development and implementation of efficient operating procedures.
Oversee compliance with all local, county and state regulatory agencies.
Recommend any hires, fires and directs any needed disciplinary action
Make and maintain staff schedules.
Foster a positive, team-oriented attitude among all fellow co-workers to facilitate work toward the completion of the agency's goals.
Present programmatic needs and assists in development of solutions.
Evaluate potential risks and develops proactive responses to avoid problems
2.

Oversee the implementation of supports and programming as per duties of 6400 or 6100
regulations Program Supervisor including:
Development of ISPs that are person centered including the individual's needs particularly for his or her health and well-being.
Help assure that ISPs are followed as written.
Help assure that ISPs are modified and updated as needed.
Help assure that services are rendered using the principles of person centeredness normalization and the developmental model.
Complete HCSIS reports and close out within allotted time.

Supervise the CLA Program Staff, including:
Provide training to staff
Ensure all staff meet licensing requirements for training, physicals, etc.
Provide regular supervision to staff
Provide on-going performance monitoring and annual performance appraisals
Assure the promotion and maintenance of good standards of work
Assure coordination of practice with policies.
4. Maintain regular and predictable attendance, and work scheduled overtime, or be available
for unplanned overtime as necessary, to meet program needs.
Requirements
This position requires the ability to travel during the course of a normal workday to successfully carry out the expectations of this position including attending offsite meetings, providing services in the community, and providing service oversight and supervision. Therefore, employees will need to drive their personal vehicle and/or an agency owned vehicle to meet these expectations. Employee is expected to always drive in a safe manner, meet eligibility criteria outlined in our Motor Vehicle Policy, be available and willing to drive during work schedule, and successfully pass the agency's substance abuse screening at any time during employment.
Education:

High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree desirable.
Experience:
Three (3) years of experience in a human services agency working with persons who have intellectual disabilities, including two years in a supervisory capacity required.
Experience working in a CLA/group home preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Behavioral intervention techniques. Residents' rights, safety techniques and program planning.
Licensing regulations, County regulations and Access Services policy and procedures.
Ability to plan, organize and direct the work of others.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting laws, rules, and policies governing Access Services facilities.
Ability to express ideas succinctly both orally and in writing. Ability to work independently and seek supervisory help when needed.
Proficiency in, or ability to learn and use, workplace applications, platforms and technologies.
Ability to navigate network drives and basic hardware use and troubleshooting.
Ability to use (EHR) electronic healthcare record software.
Benefits
Compensation, schedule, and benefits:
Starting at $44,000, with increases based on education and experience.
Monday through Friday, 9-5 with occasional changes based on program needs.
Essential Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

Work in program sites and the community routinely providing direct care and/or support with individual(s). Stand, sit or run by self, or to provide proper care and supervision with an individual. Able to move and stay with an individual to keep them safe, both in home environment and community, both at near and far distances, even when an individual may struggle to meet identified expectations. Able to assist an individual who has fallen, regardless of weight or size. Walk, climb stairs by self, or to provide direct care and/or support. Work in a standard office environment. Utilize desktop computer equipment on a daily basis. Able to lift or move items associated with sedentary work and light work (exert up to 20 lbs.) Travel to offsite locations and regional office locations if necessary.
