Overview:

Global Capital Markets (GCM) division of Wilmington Trust provides Trustee and Agency Services to Capital Market bond Issuers, Public Finance, Project Finance transactions, acting as Escrow Agent for Mergers & Acquisition transactions and Loan Agency services for Syndicated Loans. In addition, GCM provides complete suite of services of Entity management to Issuers. A desired candidate will bring expertise in writing Policies and Procedures aligned to various regulations, processes, systems, and controls for GCM.

This position is based out of Wilmington, Delaware and requires hybrid work arrangement.

Primary Responsibilities:
Work with GCM stakeholders to understand the business processes and regulations to edit and write policies and procedures.
Ability to interpret complex information from a wide variety sources and ability to identify procedures and risks and provide solutions.
Expert knowledge in policy and procedure implementation to enhance the current state.
Collaborate with technology and transformation teams to ensure any changes to GCM's operating model and processes are appropriately reflected in policies and procedures.
Identify any material gaps or inconsistencies in current procedures and processes and mitigate in partnerships with the first-line risk and business stakeholders.
Oversee the taxonomy of business controls across the value change and ensure controls are effectively documented in the business process and document adherence to various compliance requirements.
Build partnership with M&T Bank Enterprise Policy Management Group, ensuring compliance to all applicable Enterprise policies and standard requirements and mitigate non-compliant Enterprise requirements.
Lead effort in partnerships with risk and compliance teams to ensure all applicable policy and regulatory requirements are effectively remediated, documented, and implemented.
Create communication plan in partnership with Change Management Team to effectively communicate M&T Bank level policies review projects applicable to GCM business product leaders and stakeholder in timely manner.
Participate in Risk and Control projects representing GCM Business Control Group to provide inputs and receive feedback for improving controls defined in various Procedures
Work closely with Compliance, Operations, Legal and various Product Leaders to get feedback on changes to Regulations or processes to perform impact analysis on existing Policies and Procedures.
Strong interpersonal skillset to create partnerships and provide support in any other Business Control tasks as needed.
Strong project management skillsets and ability to work autonomously to deliver with minimal oversight.
Scope of Responsibilities:

The position requires substantial interaction with internal and external contacts to obtain pertinent information and serves as liaison between the department and other business units on various projects.

The jobholder works independently under very limited supervision as well as a member or a project leader of a project team. The position serves as resource for less experienced employees.

Education and Experience

Required:

Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a bank or financial institution writing Policies and Procedures.
Excellent communication skills with an eye for professional and formal writing with accurate grammar and brevity in sentences using appropriate vocabularies, cross references, and sequencing of flow of actions.
Ability to identify Who, What, When, How, and Where of any procedure or business process flows.
Experience in lean process management to streamline the process.
Industry knowledge in Corporate Trust and other banking regulations, controls, and processes.
Experience in risk and control assessment in procedures and process flows to identify risk in the business process to document suitably.
Project management skills both in waterfall and in agile methodologies.
Analytical and research skills to dig deeper into ambiguities.
Strong writing skills with attention to details, process flow, and controls meeting the functionality and associated regulations.
Ability to reach through team meetings or by email to various owners of processes and Operations to receive feedback on changes to update Procedures.
Ability to multi-task and experience interacting with all levels of personnel and/or ability to build relationships with management and business partners.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $91,061.75 - $151,769.58 Annual (USD). The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
