The compensation target range for this role is:

Job Summary

The Warehouse Materials Handler Lead facilitates seamless warehouse operations by overseeing the inspection, storage, and distribution of materials. Additionally, they are responsible for upholding a systematically organized work environment. In a leadership capacity, this role provides guidance and direction to a team of material handlers, ensuring a cohesive and efficient workflow.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

* Provide guidance and direction to a team of material handlers.

* Foster a collaborative and positive working atmosphere within the warehouse.

* Receives material into designated locations within the warehouse using the computer or WMS scanner.

* Oversee the receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming materials.

* Utilize inventory control systems for efficient material management.

* Operate forklifts to handle materials weighing up to (and possibly exceeding) 2000 lbs.

* Ensure timely provision of materials to production areas.

* Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse storage areas and loading docks.

* Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a secure work environment.

Required Skills, Education, Experience:

* High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

* Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role within a warehouse setting.

* Proven experience in warehouse operations, with a focus on material handling.

* Strong leadership and team management skills.

* Forklift certification and demonstrated proficiency in forklift operation.

* Familiarity with inventory control systems.

* Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

* Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

* Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment.

* Ability to operate forklifts.

* Ability to operate pallet stretch-wrapping machine.

* Ability to operate cardboard baling machine.

* Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations

* Experience in reporting on key Inventory Control metrics

* Proficient in MS Office and ERP software

* Outstanding communication ability

* Excellent organizational and leaderships skills

* Attention to detail.

* Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach

* Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Concepts, preferred.
