The Learning and Development (L&D) team comprises a diverse mix of experts specialising in transformation, early careers, and regional generalists. We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Early Careers Manager who will have a global remit to spearhead our strategy for developing early careers talent across all regions. This role is pivotal in shaping the future leaders of our organisation through innovative and impactful learning solutions.

Areas of focus include:

Strategy: Define and deliver the global strategy for early careers programmes, enhancing established initiatives and launching new ones in growing territories.

Programme Development: Oversee the design and implementation of creative learning solutions that resonate with early careers talent, ensuring these programmes are aligned with our organisational goals, L&D strategy and future leadership needs.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior stakeholders and manage the Early Careers Governance Group to ensure alignment and support for early careers initiatives.

Operational Excellence: Oversee the end-to-end process of onboarding, induction, development, and transition from early careers programmes, ensuring a seamless and enriching experience for participants.

Talent Attraction: Partner with Talent Acquisition on developing the global talent attraction strategy for early careers to define the selection process for each region, utilising technology to automate the process and support scalability.

Team Development: Manage and develop the early careers programme leads, providing insights and delivering programmes that meet the needs of our early careers talent.

Diversity and Inclusion: Champion diversity and inclusion within early careers programmes, ensuring a diverse pipeline of future leaders.

Budget Management: Manage the early careers budget, including the apprenticeship levy. Oversee all external supplier relationships, ensuring regional programme managers track accurate spend, and ensure ROI. Manage contract renewals and act as an escalation point.

Headcount Demand: Lead on establishing the headcount demand globally, working with Finance, People & Sustainability and senior leaders. Write and present executive committee papers which demonstrate a strong business case for continuation and growth of our early careers programmes.

Brand Ambassadorship: Responsible for the external brand of our early careers proposition, representing the organisation at industry events and building strong relationships with educational institutions and other partners.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilise data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of early careers programmes and drive continuous improvement. Use the early careers dashboard to sell the story and champion our initiatives across the business.

High Potentials: Work with the early careers programme leads to identify high potential talent, and champion them for wider talent initiatives, supporting them with mentors and career sponsors as they roll off programme.

Innovation and Creativity: Drive a culture of innovation by partnering with the wider L&D team, experimenting with new ideas and approaches that can be scaled across the business.
