Restaurant General Manager - Huey's on the Blue Mile in Statesboro, GA Since opening our first Huey's on Peachtree in Atlanta in 1983, and our second location 36 years ago on River Street in Savannah, we have enjoyed 34 years of consecutive annual growth (excluding COVID years).
Now, a few decades later, we're thrilled to announce our newest Huey's location - bringing our World Famous beignets and authentic New Orleans cuisine to the Blue Mile in Statesboro, GA.
We have a talented New Orleans chef, a strong support network from our Savannah and Statesboro restaurants, and now we are looking for someone who embodies the spirit of New Orleans culture and has the expertise to lead a great restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
• Full P&L accountability, with experience in budget management and financial oversight.
• Expected to manage a team of 50-70 staff members, drawing from a strong local labor pool including college students.
• We currently employ about 150 individuals in our other Statesboro locations and around 200 in Savannah.
• Expertise in running operations efficiently, keeping food, labor, and controllable costs well within budget, with the goal of achieving a 15-20% bottom line profit.
• Experience with restaurant technology, including Toast (or similar POS systems), XtraChef (or equivalent inventory/menu management), and scheduling tools like Sling is highly desired.
What We're Looking For:
• A natural leader and people person who can build and maintain strong relationships with both staff and customers.
• Front-of-house management experience is a must; back-of-house and bar management experience is a plus.
• Ability to train and develop assistant managers to help maintain high levels of casual dining service and staff morale.
• Knowledge of property and equipment maintenance (and an ability to troubleshoot repairs) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of social media marketing and promotion.
• A love for music is a nice bonus, and a passion for great food is a must.
Compensation & Benefits:
• Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience, and there is an aggressive bonus structure based on clearly defined financial performance targets.
• Initial commitment will likely require 60-70 hour workweeks for the first few months, but we are committed to helping you transition to a more sustainable 45-hour workweek with two days off.
• Three weeks of PTO will be provided after six months of employment.
