Full-stack Software Developer, Performance Engineering

This position is a hybrid role (4x per week onsite) that will be based at our headquarters in Fremont, California.

Full-stack Software Developer, Performance Engineering will report directly to the Director, Performance Engineering & Controls.


This role will work as a full-stack software engineer on a PV performance modelling tool. You will work closely with a variety of engineers from different disciplines to improve existing modelling capabilities, expand features, refine the modeling process, and address bugs and errors.

Job Duties:
Develop and implement new frontend and backend features for the modeling tool.
Analyze the tool's software architecture to drive improvements in the modeling process.
Conduct thorough and constructive code reviews.
Regularly audit code for inefficiencies, code smells, and opportunities for refactoring.
Assist in the software deployment process to ensure smooth releases.
Technical qualifications:

Provable fluency in modern programming languages. Preferably in Go, Python, and Angular.
An understanding of modern software development tooling including Git, Docker, and cloud providers.
5+ years' professional experience working on and delivering a software project with team members and long-term objectives.
Experience with full-stack development using REST APIs.
Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or equivalent disciplines.
Experience with Microsoft Azure and PV performance engineering is a plus.
Nontechnical qualifications:

Ability to turn high-level objectives into actionable tasks.
Happy to work in a collaborative, hybrid environment.
A desire to continuously grow professionally.
Great communication skills.

Pay Range (Applicable to California)

$160,000.00 - $185,000.00 dependent on level of experience
