Fuel Assistance Fiscal Specialist \$21.73-\$23.05/hr Job Type - Full-time LOCATION:

Non-Exempt POSITION SUMMARY The Fuel Assistance Fiscal Specialist works in the Fuel Assistance program of the agency?s Community Services department.
This position is responsible for processing the program?s fuel provider vendor bills for payment and notifying fuel provider vendors of applicant benefits.
The position communicates and collaborates with the Fuel Assistance program?s leadership, the Energy Department, and Community Action Pioneer Valley?s fiscal teams.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Process the fuel assistance program?s fuel provider vendor invoices for payment.
Send notification of applicant benefits to the fuel assistance program?s fuel provider vendors.
Generate and send consumption forms for the fuel assistance program?s fuel provider vendors.
Respond to fuel assistance applicant and fuel provider vendor payment inquiries.
Assist Fuel Assistance Program Director in audit preparation for state funding office.
Assist in coordinating check runs with the agency?s fiscal team.
In partnership with the program director, communicate with the agency?s fiscal teams to resolve applicant payment issues.
Collaborate with the program director in processing stop payment files, adjustments, and recoupments.
Collaborate with Fuel Assistance Lead Certifier in preparing direct payments for applicants with heat included in rent.
Ensure that Fuel Assistance applicants receive all possible benefits by reviewing applicants with low or no benefit payments in collaboration with the fuel assistance program?s application certification team.
Communicate and collaborate with program director, assistant manager, and lead certifier regularly.
Work with the Fuel Assistance leadership to continuously improve payment and notification processes.
Maintain filing system for the Fuel Assistance program?s invoices.
Maintain strictest confidentiality.
Comply with agency and funder?s paperwork requirements and procedures.
Attend regularly scheduled supervision meetings, team and department meetings, mandatory agency trainings.

Key Knowledge and Experience:
Experience working with marginalized communities and individuals with low incomes Experience with data management, data capture, tracking methods and analysis for outcome measurements Adapt to changing priorities and demonstrate close attention to details Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Suite and databases) To Qualify Four years\' experience in a business office environment and payments processing and/or fical tracking.
