Must-Have: Board Certification, Experience in Pediatric Anesthesiology
• Perform anesthesia for various types of surgeries: cardiac, complete ortho, complex vascular, head, spine, neuro, pediatric, regional, thoracic.
• Administer general, spinal, and epidural anesthesia.
• Provide anesthesia for obstetrical cases (preferred) and neurosurgical cases.
• Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues.
• Manage ventilation and perform central and arterial line placements.
• Place PA catheters and manage patients requiring CRNA supervision.
• Perform post-operative pain management techniques, including post-op epidurals and extremity blocks.
• Administer epidural steroids for lumbar and cervical, and perform transforaminal procedures.
• Utilize X-ray guidance in the performance of blocks.
• Work in a facility with a trauma level 2 designation and a pediatrics level 1 designation.
• Expected patient encounters and surgeries will vary based on the surgery schedule.
• Estimated credentialing timeframe is 60 days.
• Fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology preferred.
