The role you'll contribute:

The Imaging Support Representative will engage customers and staff to enhance their experience. The primary focus will be meeting/exceeding customer needs. Duties include greeting customers and guests who come to the department and assist them with their inquiries and initiating the Radiology exam process in a positive and welcoming manner.

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Answers phones and greets patients and guests using facilities' Compassion Behaviors and using outstanding customer service skills. Notifies appropriate department(s) or person of patient progress. Deescalates any patient conflicts that may occur and handles those conflicts by adhering to the policies and mission of facility. Follows department escalation process and reports any issues to the Imaging Support Supervisor and/or Manager that may occur during shift

• Reviews, facilitates and validates requests for imaging records for patients and/or physician offices. Releases records in accordance with all HIPAA, federal and state laws related to release of information, and may also document patient account appropriately

• May research scripts, previous forms, insurance cards, orders, and changes and cancels exams accordingly. Uses scheduling program to research exams scheduled for patients and reschedules as needed

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

• High school Education or equivalent
