Verovian Nursing Agency is seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Hematopoietic Transplant Coordinator to join the healthcare team in Gainesville, Florida. This position plays a vital role in coordinating and managing all aspects of patient care related to hematopoietic stem cell transplants.

Job specification

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and families throughout the transplant journey, providing education, support, and resources.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans for patients.
  • Monitor patient status post-transplant, coordinating follow-up care and addressing complications as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to transplant services.
  • Act as a resource for transplant education, including outreach and information sharing with patients and families.
Candidate requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required; master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in transplant or oncology care.
  • Strong knowledge of hematopoietic transplant procedures, protocols, and patient management.
  • Ability to provide compassionate care and support to patients and families during challenging times.
