Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Staff Subsystem Architect Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future.
This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.
The selected individual will perform as a leader within an interdisciplinary team to develop novel and innovative solutions to advanced technical problems.
The successful Weapons Integration Architect will contribute to the overall development of Weapons Integration, including developing functional architectures, analyzing performance, developing and managing requirements and interfaces, and verifying/validating all allocated requirements.
You will design, develop, build, and test stores management systems in conjunction with key suppliers.
The candidate will be responsible for:
Lead and/or support development and integration throughout the product lifecycle of design, development, integration and test, flight test requirements verification, and sustainment.
Requirements development, analysis, maturation and implementation translating customer requirements into hardware and software specificationsPerform MBSE and capturing requirements, interfaces, behaviors, structures and parametricsPerform mission engineering activities to ensure continuity between desired operational capabilities and delivered system performance, through the Systems Engineering V.
Ensure performance capabilities of employed architectures and solutions are traded against cost and mission requirements and assess operational effectiveness of existing and emerging systems and capabilities in representative operational environments.
Performing functional and performance analysesRun detailed trade studiesProvide design assessments and perform verification checksDevelop technical system integration and verification plans and track their progressSolicit input from various stakeholders, synthesize data, and communicate results to various levels of leadership within the organization.
Performing risk analysis and developing mitigation plans and tracking to closureGuide all activities in the System Engineering V, with MBSE Digital Engineering and Agile design methodology.
Lead and/or support technical discussions with the customer and having daily interaction with management, external personnel, customers, and various sub teamsBasic Qualifications:
Staff Weapons Integration Architect (T05):
Must have a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 12 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 10 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.
D.
AND 8 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
Significant background in Weapons Integration on airborne platformsKnowledge of Mil-Std-1760, UAI, CFW, Mil-STD-1553Experience developing Stores management systemsKnowledge of system engineering design methods, including requirements analysis and flow-down, specification derivation and interface control documentationDemonstrated problem-solving ability and data analysis experiencePreferred Qualifications:
Experience in model-based systems engineering using Cameo or similar SysML toolsPast work in either implementing UAI or participating in UAI IPT meetingsExperience leading/guiding teams through product definition and implementationExperience communicating with and presenting to senior leadershipExperience collaborating on large interdisciplinary teamsExperience in supplier/subcontract managementExperience with developing supplier documentation, performance-based specifications, and statements of workExperience building supplier evaluation criteria and experience in conducting technical evaluations, documenting results and selectionAbility to review documents from the supplier's development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design reviewExperience in the development of real time embedded softwareFamiliarity with Atlassian collaboration tool set (Jira and Confluence)Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.

Salary Range:
$147,700 - $221,500The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
