VyStar Insurance Sales Agent

ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT

Responsible for generating Property & Casualty sales through continuous and consistent prospecting and lead generation through branch networking and partnerships, developing and maintaining external networking relationships with realtors, mortgage brokers, title agencies, apartment complexes and builders, leads generated from marketing efforts of the Agency, cross selling and CRM leads list. Conducts cold calling to generate new leads and establish potential relationships to assess customer needs and identify products/services from a broad range of Insurance Carrier partners. Ensures sales and offerings comply with carrier, sales center, and state regulatory requirements and finalizes the sale of these products/services to grow profitability of VyStar Insurance Agency (VIA).

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Generate new sales, retain existing Members, and grow VIA's overall book of business through our multiple product offerings.
• Sells and cross-sell Personal and Commercial insurance via telephone, internet, and email with a focus on rounding out existing accounts and ensures all solutions and quotes follow VIA's established guidelines.
• Build rapport critical to establishing customer satisfaction, loyalty, and affinity to the VyStar brand.
• Exercises responsive and timely follow-up to Member inquiries with the goal of obtaining, finalizing and/or retaining the business with VIA.
• Recommends solutions and provides product options and quotes to meet Member needs, including increased coverage and cross sales/ account rounding.
• Formulates strategies to increase product awareness of VIA products and services.
• Actively solicit new business outside of the office, at business establishments and other locations to create and expand business networks.
• Establish consistent pipeline for new business as well and offers solutions and product options based on the Member's needs.
• All employees and business units, as first line of defense, are expected to proactively help identify, assess, manage, and report risks within their domain of work. To enhance a healthy risk culture and support our growth for good pillar, employees will maintain vigilance in safeguarding our operations while ensuring compliance with regulatory mandates. The Risk team serves as the second line of defense by providing risk oversight and credible challenge whereas the Audit team serves as the third line of defense by providing risk assurance.

• High school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.

• Minimum 2 years of insurance related experience preferred.
• General knowledge of insurance departments, operations, terminology, and objectives.
• Personal lines experienced preferred.
• Commercial experience is a plus.

• Solid knowledge of processes, methods, and workflow procedures in insurance.
• Sales aptitude with resilience to overcome objectives.

• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to build rapport and professionally interact positively and courteously within the Member, organization or with vendors.

• Proficiency in MS Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel), internet, and other related computer applications.
• Proficient in Agency Management and LMS systems.

• Currently holds active State Property & Casualty licenses. Specifically, 20-44 Personal lines license is preferred.
• 2-20 General Lines License preferred.
