Business Development Manager - Hybrid

DESCRIPTION

The Business Development Manager will help manage Acosta's corporate new business process. Assists in research and analysis to identify potential client targets and quantify opportunities. Assists in the development of new client presentation strategies. Assists in the analysis and development of Acosta's new business presentations, including regular interaction with Acosta's field management across numerous channels, departments, and functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Some Essential Functions of this Position:

• Ability to easily and openly communicate needs and objectives throughout various levels within the Acosta organization - corporate and field.

• Oversees and participates in development, analysis and research activities to help Acosta increase market share.

• Field various calls and requests for corporate and new business materials.

• Maintain essential slides, trackers, historical information for use in presentation development and company education.

• Assist in the analysis of new business opportunities: value quantification, overall trends, competitive landscape.

• Create and maintain business trackers and reports for new clients.

• Act as point person for onboarding new clients - work with client senior level management and Acosta field organization.

• Research potential clients-areas of business, distribution of sales by trade class/category, etc, business structure, current relationships, etc.

• Assist in the development of new client strategies - identify opportunity gaps, strategies to help potential client close the gaps.

• Strong analytic capabilities - ability to work in syndicated data systems to develop analysis.

• Other duties assigned.

Key Responsibilities Include:

1. RFP Management - All Omni Sales Brand

2. Manage RFP process for inbout requests.

3. Partner with sales, pricing and legal team for any required pricing submission.

4. Calendar key milestones, group huddles aligned to RFP timeline prior to submission.

5. Bring the Acosta Group story to live with strong written communication.

6. Maintaining and updating the 'data bank' of frequently asked questions & answers.

7. Onboarding & Activation Activities

8. In partnership with the PMD, Execution of the AG transition playbook.

9. Work with the client on any customized needs they have as part of the onboarding.

10. Set up internal kickoff launching the activation with the AG transition team.

11. In partnership with the AG Sales team, inform all functional area leads required for activation.

12. Contracting Conduit btw Sales and Legal

13. In partnership with the PMD, working with the sales team and the legal team to move active contracts thru the Contract Management System, and identifying any roadblocks to progress in an effort to solve.

14. Provide reporting to the EVP of Business Development extracted from contract management system.

15. Navigating Acosta Group

16. Learn the market and build internal relationships at Acosta Group, plus daily readings of industry trends, quarterly review of retailer profiles, etc.

17. Develop a strong understanding of services provided at Acosta Group and build a network to accomplish work.

18. Work closely and efficiently with Service Delivery Team (Sales org, BI org, DC org, etc) to involve where necessary with proper briefing and preparation ahead of client engagement.

19. Active participation in and proper preparation for monthly pipeline reviews, BD team calls, and any pertinent agency specific calls.

20. First Receiver Filter

21. Navigate and act appropriately against inquiries for Acosta Group services.

22. Partner with various teams to evaluate viability of representation of new clients/brands.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimal Education Requirements:

• Bachelor of Arts Degree

Experience Requirement:

• 2 - 4 years of Category Management experience

• Some Business Management (Acct Mgr. or Bus Mgr. ) experience preferred

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements:

• Strong PowerPoint & presentation development skills

• Strong Excel skills

• Presentation strategy skills
