The Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Required:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent, plus four (4) years of experience performing in a support role within office management, records retention, archives, or library assistance.
Preferred:
Bachelors Degree
Additional education and experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted for the above requirements.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Drivers License: With proof of automobile insurance
Background Check: Must have an acceptable background record
Driving Abstract: Must have an acceptable driving record
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Knowledge of some archives and/or records management and file organization principles.
Knowledge of office management practices.
Knowledge of the proper operation and capabilities of personal computers.
Ability to establish effective working relationships with users, the public, outside vendors, and co-workers.
Ability to establish and maintain effective and professional relationships with work colleagues, supervisors, managers and the public.
Ability to supervise subordinates in support role within the division
Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Maintains records retention and disposal schedules in compliance with records management guidelines.
Responds to request for records.
