Accounts Receivable Clerk
Accounts Receivable Clerk reports to the controller. The ideal candidate will assist in managing and processing guest transactions, ensuring the timely and accurate posting of payments, and maintaining positive relationships with our guest. This role is critical to supporting the financial operations of the resort.
Duties:
• Prepare, post, verify and record groups and wholesalers' payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
• Providing assistance with guest calls, inquiries and disputes.
• Manage Guest Billing:
Update all POS daily changes, payments and corrections. Ensures all resort functions have been billed and posted.
• Process Payments:
Accurately record payments received via cash, checks, credit cards, and electronic transfers (ACH) into the resort accounting software.
• Maintain aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts. Ensure timely collection of outstanding balances while maintaining strong customer relations.
• Regularly reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding their account statements, charges, and payment options in a courteous and professional manner.
• Work closely with all departments to ensure accurate billing for services and events.
• Prepare Reports:
Generate periodic reports on accounts receivable status and other financial reports as required by management.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all customer transactions and billing documentation.
• Assist with Audits:
Provide necessary documentation and assist with internal or external audits as required.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in an accounts receivable or billing role in the hospitality field
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and staff.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
