Facility Engineer - HVAC

for QuVa Pharma, a leader in quality-compliant manufacturing of compounded, ready-to-administer sterile injectable products with unmatched 503B experience. The


position is responsible for the day-to-day facility operations including maintaining uptime and operations of facilities to meet business needs. This position ensures that environmental systems operate effectively, efficiently, and safely in buildings and facilities.
Responsibilities span the lifecycle of HVAC systems. These include the conceptualization and design of systems tailored to meet specific climatic and environmental requirements, overseeing the installation process, and ensuring regular maintenance and compliance with all safety and building codes. This position not only enhances the operational efficiency of these systems but also contributes to sustainable practices by integrating energy-saving technologies.
Responsibilities may include :
Designing HVAC systems, including calculating heating and cooling needs, selecting appropriate equipment, and detailing system specifications.
Being the SME on clean room HVAC systems
Collaborating with other engineers, architects, and project managers to integrate and optimize HVAC systems in building designs.
Conducting and supervising installations and ensuring conformity with engineering designs and standards.
Performing and overseeing regular maintenance and repairs to prevent system failures and extend the lifespan of HVAC units.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to air quality, system inefficiencies, and mechanical malfunctions.
Preparing technical documentation and system reports for compliance and maintenance records.
Staying updated with the latest technologies in climate control and implementing sustainable. solutions.
Surveying facility ahead of fitting heating, ventilation, or air conditioning systems.
Planning the placement of pipework, ducts and control panels.
Installing HVAC components.
Performing quality checks to ensure systems are working efficiently and safely.
Finding and fixing faults.
Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for machinery and systems.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Authorized to work for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
4 years' + of hands-on experience in HVAC design and operation in a cGMP environment
HVAC Certifications preferred: EPA; OSHA; HVAC aster Specialist; EPA 608; NATE; RSES.
Actively participates in continuing education to stay abreast of technological advances and regulatory changes in the field of HVAC technology.

Efficiency with MS Office suite

Work Environment

Ability to sit and/or stand 8 hours or more per day if needed
Ability to manipulate necessary office equipment, computer software, hardware & equipment
Ability to perform the following physical activities: stooping, reaching, standing, grasping, walking, feeling, talking and hearing
Lifting up to 50 lbs.
