IPS is seeking an experienced and strategic Executive Programs Underwriter to join our dynamic team.
This senior-level role will be instrumental in underwriting and managing complex insurance programs, driving profitability, and fostering strong client and partner relationships.
The ideal candidate will possess deep underwriting expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
Essential Responsibilities:

Lead the underwriting process for complex and high-value insurance programs, ensuring alignment with company guidelines and profitability objectives.
Conduct thorough risk assessments, determine appropriate coverage, and set pricing and terms for insurance policies.
Collaborate with brokers, agents, and internal teams to develop innovative and client-specific insurance solutions.
Monitor and manage the performance of assigned programs, making strategic recommendations and adjustments as necessary.
Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions to guide underwriting decisions and program development.
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior underwriters, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Represent IPS at industry events, client meetings, and other forums to enhance our market presence and build strong relationships.
Qualifications:


Education:
Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of underwriting experience, with a focus on program business or a related area.
Licensing:
Active state specific Life & Health/Property Casualty Insurance agent's license required or the ability to acquire license within three months of hire.
Skills & Technical Competencies:
Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a proven track record of making sound underwriting judgments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and internal teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with underwriting software and tools.
Ability to travel as required for client meetings, industry events, and team collaboration.
