Job Summary:

The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and engineering operations of the hotel, ensuring all systems and equipment are functioning optimally to provide a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff. This role includes supervising engineering staff, managing preventive maintenance programs, and coordinating repairs and renovations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Leadership:

Lead and manage the engineering team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Foster a collaborative work environment that emphasizes safety and efficiency.

Maintenance Management:

Oversee the preventive maintenance program for all hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks and repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations.

Safety Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards, including local building codes and health regulations.
Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain documentation.

Budget Management:

Assist in the preparation and management of the engineering budget, controlling costs and identifying areas for efficiency improvements.

Emergency Response:

Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues effectively.
Develop and implement emergency response plans for engineering-related incidents.

Collaboration:

Work closely with other departments to support hotel operations and enhance the guest experience.
Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs and renovations.

Inventory Management:

Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring necessary materials are available for maintenance tasks.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in facility maintenance, with supervisory experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Working Conditions:

Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
Work is primarily indoors, with exposure to mechanical systems and equipment.
