DESE is seeking multiple skilled and innovative Electrical Engineers to join our team. The successful candidate will design, develop, and test electrical systems and components, with a particular emphasis on integrated circuitry and systems. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical systems and components using CAD software.
Conduct research and analysis to determine design feasibility, cost, and performance benefits.
Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturing, focusing on integrated circuitry, electrical enclosures, and value-engineering.
Perform testing and validation of prototypes and final products to ensure compliance with design specifications.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software engineers, and other team members to integrate electrical designs with overall product architecture.
Identify and solve engineering problems by applying principles of electronics, electromagnetism, and control systems.
Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing teams during the production process.
Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate project progress and outcomes.
Manage multiple projects, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in electrical design and development.
3-5 years of experience in designing and manufacturing electrical systems, with a strong emphasis on integrated circuitry.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) and other engineering tools.
Strong understanding of electrical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and creatively.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred, but not required.
