Job Summary

What is the Opportunity?
The RBC Wealth Management IT team is expanding our technology offerings to provide world-class deposits and lending products for our clients. We are seeking an IT leader with experience in the banking sector to shape our product portfolio for years to come. In this role, you will be responsible for internal technology development, vendor partnerships, and managing the successful implementation of deposit and lending solutions. The role will manage a team of developers, formulate strategy with business partners, and drive execution activities to accomplish objectives according to budget and schedule expectations.
What Will You Do?
Manage the implementation of multiple concurrent initiatives of varying complexity in a time-efficient manner. Monitor and control activities according to plan.
Continuously identify potential issues, conflicts, and risks. Analyze, mitigate, and escalate where appropriate.
Manage a team of IT resources providing day-to-day work direction, coaching and professional development, and performance management.
Collaborate and contribute on cross-functional enterprise initiatives and manage the effective implementation of assigned deliverables.
Establish strong working relationships across business units and platforms to build influence and impact with key business partners. Collaborate with groups to define and achieve deliverables and ensure initiatives are effectively integrated into RBC procedures and processes.
Contribute to Wealth Management IT leadership team activities as required.
What Do You Need to Succeed?
Must have:
Undergraduate degree in an IT field such as computer science or management information systems, or equivalent work experience in an IT field.
8 - 10 years of IT management experience, preferably in the financial services sector.
A strong understanding of technology and the financial services industry - specifically looking for experience with deposits and lending processes.
Experience working with and managing software and service providers in the banking industry.
Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
Nice-to-have:
Experience in a matrix environment, such as a large, publicly traded corporation.
Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision-makers.
Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses.

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $130,000 - $210,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
