Director of Respiratory Therapy

The Director off Respiratory Care oversees and coordinates the operation of the Respiratory Care Department, Pulmonary Function Lab, Outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program and Sleep Lab. (S)he is responsible for quality assurance and compliance with professional standards and regulations as well as fiscal management of these areas.
Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of Supervisory experience
Excellent leadership skills
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to formulate and implement policies and procedures that reflect current clinical practice guidelines.
Must be able to establish and manage a budget, maintain records and establish a quality control program.
Capable of recruiting and retaining qualified staff as well as orienting and training new staff, providing in-service and performance evaluations.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:

5 years clinical experience in acute care involving all age groups
Experience with Sleep Lab functions preferred
Educational Requirements:

Graduate of AMA approved program for Respiratory Care.
BA/BS required
License/Certification:

Current Massachusetts Respiratory Care License
CRT, RRT preferred
BLS certified.
