A diesel mechanic is responsible for the repair and maintenance of workover equipment and to ensure equipment can be safely operated.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Inspect and evaluate equipment and determine any defects in the equipment
Repair and replace damaged or worn parts
Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as cleaning and lubricating equipment
Maintain routine equipment maintenance schedule
Make adjustments and repair equipment, ensuring operating efficiency
Maintain log book of all equipment repairs, services, adjustments and work performed
Understand and comply with company, customer, and health/safety policies, and any other regulations that are required
Reports any and all incidents immediately
Able to work in all weather conditions
Performs other duties as directed by management
Require Skills
Knowledge of workover equipment preferred
Ability to assess and troubleshoot equipment failure
Must be able to work in fast-paced environment
Must possess organizational and problem-solving skills
Must be able to lift 70 lbs and handle physical demanding work
Must be able to communicate using oral and basic written communication
Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol screening and participate in the random testing pool
Must pass a background check and motor vehicle record check
Arrange for reliable transportation to and from work

Work Environment
This job primarily operates in an indoor work environment but may occasionally operate in an outside environment. The role occasionally works in all weather conditions, including but not limited to: extreme wind, rain, cold, heat, etc.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work as job duties demand.
Licenses & Certifications
Valid Driver's License
Class A CDL, preferred
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous mechanic experience, preferred
