About the job:
• Conduct initial and follow-up patient assessments, including physical exams, medical history, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions in patients, under the guidance of the supervising physician.
• Prescribe medications, therapies, and other treatments as needed, adhering to state and federal regulations.
• Educate patients and families on preventive health practices, medication instructions, lifestyle modifications, and treatment plans.
• Order, interpret, and monitor diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging, to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
• Work closely with physicians and medical staff to coordinate patient care and provide high-quality treatment.
• Document patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Assist with minor procedures, injections, wound care, and other medical interventions within the NP's scope of practice.
• Conduct routine wellness visits and screenings to support preventive care initiatives.
• Stay current on best practices and continuing education to maintain certification and clinical competency.
Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner (NP) specialization
State licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with NP certification
Board certification in a specialty area (e.g., Family Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner)
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certified
