PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To assist the Nurse Manager in the overall administrative direction for the clinical and operational practice of nursing and delivery of patient care in ChristianaCare HomeHealth, an ANCC Magnet designated unit/practice area.
Shares 24-hour responsibility and accountability for all aspects of daily operational activity with the Nurse Manager.Daily contact with nursing personnel, patients, family members, employees, medical/dental staff, insurance providers, community partners, volunteers and students.
Contact at various time intervals with community agencies and companies, media and other healthcare organizations as well as the general public.KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Monday - Friday On call rotation, every other week as required, since we operate 7 days a week.
Work Location:
Mostly in New Castle County area and main office is in Smyrna, DE.
(Supervisory visits in New Castle County area and probably Northern Kent County area)SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
BLS CertificationProfessional certification in a related nursing specialty recommended.Current nursing licensure in the State of Delaware or compact state.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Completed Bachelor's degree in Nursing.Master's Degree in a nursing preferred.
