The Oversight Board makes binding and independent decisions about the most challenging content issues on Facebook and Instagram. Members of the Board include Helle Thorning-Schmidt, former Prime Minister of Denmark, Tawakkol Karman, Nobel Peace Prize winner, Michael McConnell, Director of Stanford's Constitutional Law Center, and many other diverse leaders and thinkers from around the world. The Board issued its first decisions in January 2021.

The Oversight Board Administration is the team of full-time staff who support Board Members in carrying out their duties. The Administration has a presence in London, San Francisco and Washington, D. C. , and operates with a global scope.

The Role

As a key member of the Technology Team, the Technology Engineer will work diligently to provide human centric customer experience to all our organisation. Reporting to the Director of Technology, the Technology 3rd Line Support Engineer will diagnose and resolve network Infrastructure, MS Azure, Amazon Web Services, Cyber Security & enterprise tooling issues. The Technology Engineer will be required to work on both tactical and strategic projects working closely with other areas of the Technology Team.

The Technology Engineer responsibilities include resolving network issues, including Zscaler support, managing security vulnerabilities, user accounts and privileges, and managing all Enterprise tooling (SAAS) requirements. The post holder will be responsible for security vulnerability management, testing & deployment of patches, supporting technical projects & provide technical guidance & support to other team members.

The post holder will be:

• Working as part of the Technology Team, to be responsible for day to day support for Technology services.
• Responding to requests for help from end users and other members of our team.
• Setting up and installing new computers, networks and software.
• Setting up user accounts and profiles.
• Onboarding and Offboarding of members of the OSB.
• Packaging & Installing updates to software applications and systems.
• Installing and configuring operating systems, anti-virus software and other applications such as Microsoft Office.
• Maintaining security and vulnerability alerts and remediation of the fixes
• Diagnosing and fixing network problems, hardware or software faults.
• Maintaining inventories of hardware and software.
• Keeping a record of issues and faults along with solutions, for future reference.
• Providing user training and developing support guides.
• Providing support on external events with all AV setup and configuration
• Continuous development and improvement for all process, technologies and solutions.
• Working on tactical and strategic projects.
• Occasionally work flexible hours to ensure users have the support required and for the delivery of strategic projects.

• Cisco Meraki Hardware and cloud administration
• Networking experience (Proxy, LAN, WIFI, 802. 1x, EAP)
• Zscaler Admin in ZIA, ZPA & ZDX including configuration and management of alerts
• Amazon Web Services admin including EC2 and S3 admin
• Domain management including setting up and maintaining SSL, DNS records
• Vulnerability and Security management with change control
• Good working knowledge of Virtual desktop environments
• HubSpot cloud - administration
• System Administration in Microsoft Stack (Azure AD, Endpoint MDM, Exchange, SharePoint)
• PowerShell / Linux scripting
• Windows, Apple macOS & iPad/iPhones device setup and configuration
• WordPress VIP backend support and administration
• Laptop and iPhone build and troubleshooting
• Zoom Administration and setup of Zoom Rooms and devices
