Description

Medstar Health at Lafayette Centre is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, compassionate individual who is a strong communicator to join an energetic, patient-focused team! Come and join our team as a Radiology Tech Assistant for a full-time position at our outpatient imaging center located in Washington, DC.

The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm. This role will work side-by-side with our Mammography Team.

Lafayette Centre is looking for a Medical Assistant or tech aide who has medical experience preferably in Mammography or Radiology. The applicant will support the Radiologists and Mammographers on a daily basis by assisting with biopsies, communicating with referring physicians, reviewing schedules, and performing admin tasks for the Clinical Supervisor.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

One year as a trained Phlebotomist and/or Medical Assistant experience required.

EDUCATION:

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Ability to work efficiently as an extension of certified/registered staff or licensed independent practitioner.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
Demonstrates understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology.
Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
