General Summary of Position
Unit Highlights

\r Now is the\rperfect time to come join our outstanding Emergency Department team in our\rbrand-new Verstandig Pavilion. MedStar\rGeorgetown University Hospital's Emergency Department is staffed and equipped\rto care for over 40,000 patients a year ranging from newborn to end of life.\rThe metropolitan MGUH ED provides high quality care to a wide variety of\rpatients, including adult and pediatric patients from the MedStar Georgetown\rTransplant Institute and the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.\rAdditionally, MedStar Georgetown is accredited by the Joint Commission as a\rComprehensive Stroke Center and receives acute stroke patients from all around\rthe DC region. All the nurses in the Emergency Department are certified in BLS,\rACLS, PALS, and are NIH Stroke Certified and many also have their CEN, TNCC,\rand ENPC certifications. ED Nursing Leadership supports and encourages nurses\rto enhance their educational expertise and professional development. MedStar\rGeorgetown's Emergency Department prides itself on its teamwork, collaborative\rgovernance and decision making which creates and implements new ideas centered\ron evidenced based practice.

State-of-the-Art\rFacilities:
The\rVerstandig Pavilion is equipped with all-private inpatient rooms and the latest\rmedical technology, ensuring an optimal environment for both patients and\rhealthcare professionals.
Modernized\rEmergency Department:
Our\rnewly expanded and modernized ED includes a fast-track area, separate ambulance\rentrance, and private treatment/exam rooms, facilitating efficient and\rhigh-quality patient care.
Rooftop\rHelipad:
Direct access\rto our ICUs and ED via a rooftop helipad, allowing for swift and seamless\rpatient transfers.

Schedule:

Full-time\r and Per Diem (PRN) positions available
Self-scheduling;\r Six Week Schedules
Fixed\r Shifts (Day/Night/Mid Shifts based on availability)

Key Responsibilities
\r
As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications
\r

ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.

This position has a hiring range of $38.00 - $63.30
