Job Title: Production Team Lead

Location: Valparaiso, IN

Company Overview:
Dynatect Manufacturing is actively seeking a dedicated Production Team Lead to join our team in Valparaiso, IN. This role will be instrumental in overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality control, and meeting production goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership presence and a passion for driving continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety and Quality:

Lead by example in maintaining a safe work environment, championing safety initiatives and improvements.
Conduct daily Tier 1 meetings to align the team on production priorities and safety standards.
Clearly communicate production goals, specifications, and job requirements to team members, collaborating with Engineering as needed.
Promote quality improvements through close oversight of production processes.

Production Management:

Coordinate production schedules, ensuring efficient use of resources and personnel.
Track and manage cycle counts, adjust scrap logs, and ensure data accuracy.
Oversee shop operations, including opening and closing the facility as needed.
Report equipment malfunctions promptly and collaborate with Maintenance for resolutions.
Support and drive continuous improvement efforts, utilizing production management software to optimize workflows.

Team Leadership:

Collaborate with other Team Leads and departments to ensure smooth operations across the facility.
Coach, mentor, and train team members in both technical and administrative tasks, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
Conduct employee performance reviews, maintain personnel records, and coordinate with HR for staffing needs.
Approve timesheets, PTO requests, and enforce company policies consistently and fairly.
Address performance issues through corrective action, including issuing verbal warnings as needed.

Additional Duties:

Actively participate in hands-on production tasks as necessary to meet team goals.

Required Qualifications:

3-5 years of relevant production or manufacturing experience.
Solid understanding of production operations and processes.
High school diploma or GED.
Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Basic math and computer skills, with the ability to read blueprints, specifications, and measurements.
Forklift certification or the ability to obtain one.
Valid drivers license.

Salary: $28-$31/hour
