Join Central Transport, a leading Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) transportation carrier committed to providing exceptional service across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. We are currently seeking dedicated Dock Workers to join our team at our distribution center in Portland, OR. As a Dock Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient handling and movement of materials within our warehouse facility.
Duties:
• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
• Perform materials handling tasks including loading and unloading freight from trailers.
• Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory and shipments accurately.
• Adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Support warehouse operations by organizing inventory, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with general warehouse duties as needed.
Requirements:
• Prior experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and other heavy equipment.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to comply with safety regulations and procedures.
