  Position Highlights

• This position is full-time, following a first shift schedule, 40 hours per week, scheduled Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

• This position also offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment.

• In this role, you will be part of the DEMHS Planning and Preparedness unit, working alongside a multifaceted team and other counterparts involved with DESPP and across other state agencies. In this role you will be responsible for administering various state and local preparedness grants as well as support the development of emergency management plans and procedures.

• Working closely with local, state, federal, tribal, and private sector partners, the Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (DEMHS) provides a coordinated, integrated program for statewide emergency management and homeland security.

The Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (DEMHS) is charged with developing, administering, and coordinating a comprehensive and integrated statewide emergency management and homeland security program that encompasses all human-made and natural hazards, and includes prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery components to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents of Connecticut.
