Position Highlights:

• Full-time, 40 hours per week

• First (1st) shift,

• Monday - Friday

• However, work schedule flexibility is required in order to meet the demands of the job

The Role:

This position is part of Central Office, Division of Investigations, to be based in Wallingford. This role is essential for overseeing the investigation process and tracking of all aspects of abuse/neglect investigations pertaining to alleged victims with an intellectual disability (ID) and who are receiving services from the Department of Social Services Division of Autism Services.

PURPOSE OF JOB CLASS (NATURE OF WORK)

In the Department of Developmental Services this class is accountable for acting as a working supervisor for staff engaged in the investigative process in response to allegations of abuse and/or neglect in a region or training school.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

• Plans unit workflow and determines priorities;

• Schedules, assigns, oversees and reviews work of staff;

• Assists staff in reviewing caseload needs and establishing work plans and priorities;

• Collaborates with staff on setting objectives and strategies for pursuing complex cases;

• Assists directly in conducting difficult interviews and/or meetings;

• Responds to inquiries and answers complaints about program operations from service providers and the public;

• Consults with regional and/or training school director and staff to determine investigative response to allegations of abuse and/or neglect;
