Senior Product Security Engineer

What you can expect

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Security Engineer with deep knowledge and expertise in product security and AI security. In this role, you will design and implement secure solutions, lead security initiatives, and address evolving privacy and security challenges, particularly in AI and machine learning models. This role requires a hands-on, self-motivated leader who thrives in problem-solving, is a team player, and demonstrates leadership in driving security across complex products.

About the Team

The Senior Product Security Engineer will report to the Head of Engineering Security and will work with Engineering and other cross functional teams including privacy and legal. A key component will be ensuring that security and privacy requirements are included in product design and implementation.

Responsibilities

Reviewing the design, architecture, and implementation of security solutions for our products, ensuring the highest security standards are met.

Providing expert guidance on AI security, including identifying and mitigating privacy issues, threats, and vulnerabilities in AI/ML models.

Staying updated and ensure adherence to security best practices, including OWASP Top 10 and OWASP Top 10 for LLMs.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate security into all stages of product development.

Identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks in both AI and non-AI applications.

Driving security initiatives across the organization, promoting an important culture of security

awareness.

Staying current with emerging security trends, tools, and best practices, particularly related to AI and ML privacy and security concerns.

What we're looking for

Have 8+ years of experience in product security, with a deep expertise on AI security and secure product development.

Have expertise in addressing security and privacy issues and implementing threat mitigations in AI models and machine learning

Possess in-depth knowledge of AI models, security frameworks such as OWASP Top 10 and OWASP Top 10 for LLMs.

Have proficiency in one or more programming languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, C/C++.

Have a deep understanding of cryptographic algorithms and protocols (e.g., AES, RSA, HMAC, Elliptic Curve Cryptography, SSL/TLS, PKI, HTTPS). Possess advanced problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$118,600.00

Maximum:

$259,500.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
