Counselor - OP

Beacon Behavioral is one of the largest and most established behavioral health programs in Louisiana. For over 25 years, Beacon employs caring staff at locations across southeast Louisiana: Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Metairie, Alexandria, Slidell, Hammond, Bogalusa, Bunkie, Opelousas, and Lutcher. We currently provide inpatient programs, residential, intensive outpatient programs (IOP) and traditional outpatient programs that provide therapy to those struggling with emotional disorders, substance abuse, and mental disorders. Our Private Practice operations have expanded to include Arkansas, Mississippi, Texas, Alabama, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Pittsburg. We will continue our growth with Beacon Behavioral Partners.

Our IOP in Bogalusa is looking for a PRN LMSW, LCSW or LPC.

1. Advocates for patient rights (confidentiality, ethical issues, complaints, participates and is advised of the care).

2. Facilitate case management services and coordinate discharge planning with other multidisciplinary treatment team members for all assigned patients.

3. Maintain awareness for indicators in client's behavior (either positive or negative), communicate any changes to the other multidisciplinary treatment team members as to document these issues in the Master Treatment Plan.

4. Facilitates psycho-education groups as needed. Assures timely and accurate documentation of all groups facilitated.

5. Participates in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and provides input for review and update of patient goals and progress.

6. Participates in PI clinical record audit as delegated by Clinic Manager. Assure that all deficiencies are compliant with standards in a timely manner.

7. Strictly adheres to the code of ethics as defined by State licensure codes of ethics.

8. Maintains universal precautions while administering care to clients and is knowledgeable of policies, procedures, and protocol regarding infection control.

9. Follows all facilities policies and procedures.
