Job SummaryPLEASE NOTE: This is a limited-duration, benefited, full-time position currently funded through June 30, 2025. This position may be extended beyond this date and/or may become regular status depending on funding and budget approval.

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for program development, data integrity, and process improvement of the County's assessment and tax programs. This position develops, manages and improves processes, leads and coordinates staff work related to program and process improvement, and ensures the quality and timeliness of outcomes. This position will be responsible for system conversions and software updates, and undertakes special projects in consultation with the Director. This position works closely with the Director to establish and carry out Benton County's mission.

Hybrid work option: The responsibilities of this position are such that the successful candidate may be able to perform some assignments remotely after completion of the probationary period, following Benton County's Telework Policy. However, a fully remote work environment is not an option. The initial training period will require on-site presence to gain understanding of job expectation and responsibilities.

Annual salary range of:

$67,359 - $94,183
- Note: salary placement will be based on your level of directly related experience and education consistent with Oregon's pay equity law.
This position guarantees two salary raises within your first year. Increases are given at the end of the 6 month probationary period and at the 1 year anniversary, as long as your performance is in good standing! Increases are given until the maximum of the salary range is reached.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (PC42)The following minimum qualifications are required for this position:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school in business administration, public administration, communications or in relation to land use and real estate; AND
2 years of professional work experience in assessment, property tax, program management, program coordination, or closely related field.

An equivalent combination of closely related education and experience may be accepted. Please note candidates must have at least 6 months of actual work experience to be considered as equivalent.

Is familiar with Ascend and Proval systems
Has excellent communication skills
Has experience with process improvement
Works well with others and is self driven
Has good leadership skills and follows a project through to the end
Preference will be given to experience in assessment and tax.
