Core Network Project Engineer ! Essential Functions

Circuits and Circuit Delivery:

Acquires circuits and tracks their delivery for expansion markets, core markets, and data centers.

Colo Spaces and Data Centers:

Initiate and Track Contract Negotiation between Colo Vendor and Legal.
Track Contract Signature Acquisition.
Track Equipment Delivery to Data Centers.
Assist with Contractor Acquisition and Scheduling.

MDU Implementation:

Manage coordination of departments to create successful outcomes for our MDU customers and a positive customer experience.

Project Numbers and INT Numbers:

Track budgeted projects for accuracy vs budgeted spend.

Ordering:

Process requisitions in NetSuite and place inventory orders.

Meetings and Project Management:

Attend all meetings and conference calls related to expansion and market growth.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Solid understanding of Ethernet, Wave, IP Transit and Transport Technologies.
Demonstrated leadership behaviors including time management, organizational skills, and understanding of the methodology around strategic planning.
Ability to organize and schedule varied work activities, while adapting to changes in assignments.
Basic MS Office Skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, and Project).
Other Experience & Requirements

5-10 years' experience in telco wholesale, colocation, sales engineering, related disciplines.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
Experience with budgeting and budget projection desirable.
Approximately 5% overnight travel on occasion.
