The Controls Engineer 2 will support ongoing Lonza operations through technical assistance as it relates to the manufacturing and process automation systems.
This engineering role provides a technical resource to operations customers to ensure that instrumentation and automation systems are designed and operating to meet production needs.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop technical knowledge on manufacturing equipment and processes automation systems.
• Support resolution of equipment breakdowns and quality issues in the suites.
• Conduct troubleshooting and technical analyses on manufacturing equipment and processes automation systems including PI data analyses, review/troubleshooting code, etc.
• Assist with tech transfer, projects, and process improvements as needed.
• Performs all work safely and meets the requisite training requirements.
• Complete change request lot assessments to support lot release.
• Review SOPs, Functional Specifications, and work instructions.
• Remain up to date on all assigned training activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in applicable engineering field or Computer Science.
• 4+ years related work experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with focus on Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to think critically and logically.
• Strong communication skills.
  Ability to work with other collaborating teams.
• Able to work "on-call" hours as required.
