Position : Corporate Controller - Construction Accounting
Location : Ames, IA
Overview :
Join a premier Ames-based construction firm, renowned for delivering exceptional projects. Were seeking a Corporate Controller with a deep understanding of construction accounting, AIA billing, and Work in Progress (WIP) reports. This role is pivotal in guiding our financial strategy, ensuring compliance, and promoting financial health.
Responsibilities :
Oversee comprehensive accounting operations, focusing on accuracy in AIA billing, WIP reports, payroll, and tax compliance.
Lead monthly and quarterly financial reporting, ensuring transparency and regulatory compliance.
Direct the AIA billing process, upholding industry standards and financial integrity.
Develop internal controls to adhere to GAAP and regulatory requirements, enhancing financial reporting and analysis.
Spearhead budgeting, financial forecasting, and modeling to support strategic decision-making.
Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering an environment of efficiency and continuous improvement.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA or Masters preferred.
5+ years in construction accounting with expertise in AIA billing and WIP reporting.
Proficient in GAAP and construction-specific financial practices.
Skilled in accounting software and ERP systems, particularly those related to construction.
Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and organizational skills.
Exceptional communication abilities, capable of fostering strong internal and external relationships.
