What does this role look like?

As a Tactical Avionics Program Management Senior Staff Lead, you will:

•Lead an Integrated Product Teams (IPT) for the FBM Avionics Directorate in the planning and execution of Avionics work scope
•Ensure that projects are completed on schedule following established procedures, schedules, and work plans
•Coordinate the planning, organizing, control, Integration, and completion of Engineering projects within the area of assigned responsibility
•Ensure Engineering is coordinated across Program and suppliers

This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work: Denver, Colorado , and be expected to work in the office. Basic QualificationsTo be successful, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree from an accredited college,
•12+ years of professional experience,
•3+ years of prior project management experience, as well as Control Account Management (CAM) experience,
•Prior technical program management experience,
•You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Desired skillsTo be successful, ideally, you should also have:

•Bachelor's, or higher, degree (engineering field or technical discipline preferred) or equivalent experience/combined education
•Prior FBM experience
•Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering
•Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very sophisticated problems and implement constructive change
•Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope
•Experience using JIRA or Version 1 or similar tools for project planning and tracking
•Experience throughout the engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test, and operational deployment)
•Experience in Business Rhythm creation and management experience
•Excellent presentation abilities
•Excellent organizational skills

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
