FUNCTION: As a Licensed Occupational Therapy Specialist, you will deliver diagnostic evaluations and personalized treatment plans, helping patients achieve their maximum potential and integrate skills needed for daily living.

QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
Current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association
One year of relevant experience preferred
Strong supervisory and leadership skills
Exceptional customer service orientation
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Able to use tools for adaptive equipment

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be responsible for:

Providing consultations on environmental design and adaptive equipment to facilitate maximum patient independence.
Maintaining accurate and timely patient records and reports.
Designing and implementing treatment programs to enhance patient functioning through therapeutic exercises and activities.
Instructing patients in adapted techniques for daily living, including meal preparation and self-care skills.
Administering various therapies to enhance motor skills and cognitive function for diverse patient needs.
Creating custom splints and adaptive devices per doctors' specifications.
Providing supportive therapies for patients with traumatic brain injuries and other neurological conditions.
Educating families and caregivers on optimal care techniques and safety practices.
Participating in patient assessments and tailoring home program designs.
Engaging with patient support groups alongside other healthcare team members.
Demonstrating proficiency in English communication for effective patient interactions.
Making independent decisions and solving practical problems in clinical settings.
Exhibiting professional integrity and flexibility while collaborating with residents and team members.
Adhering to safety regulations and infection control protocols.
Complying with policies regarding resident rights and confidentiality (HIPAA).
Executing additional related duties as assigned.
