A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and state seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. Description of Job

The general supervision and monitoring supervisor is responsible for the operational day to day management of general supervision and monitoring activities and the roles the team has in these activities. This individual facilitates the development and implementation of OSEPs requirements of a general supervision and monitoring system. This includes an emphasis on developing policies and procedures and providing guidance to the field on IDEA and ECEA regulations as they pertain to the provision of special education services to children ages 3-21 years. The supervisor reports directly to the director of general supervision and monitoring and collaborates with other CDE leadership/staff to further the work in support of the CDE mission.

DUTIES:

1. Provide supervision and support to GSM Consultants, to include completion of performance reviews as required for HR.

2. Develop an annual general supervision and monitoring budget.

3. Manage day to day general supervision and monitoring activities, as outlined in OSEP's QA 23-01.

4. Provide technical assistance and support to CDE colleagues, special education administrators/educators on compliance with special education law, regulation, and processes consistent with IDEA and ECEA.

5. Collaborate with other CDE staff and offices in streamlining processes to inform systems outcomes in general supervision , technical assistance practices, and professional learning.

6. Participate in data dialogue(s) with staff from the ESSU and cross-offices within the CDE in the collaborative development of guidance and technical assistance to the field.

7. Review and revise general supervision and monitoring processes as part of continuous improvement activities, in collaboration with other ESSU teams, and under direction of ESSU Leadership.

8. Facilitate the development of of rubrics, matrices, and other resources to guide/inform the monitoring process.

9. Collaborates with the data supervisor in analyzing data collections to inform general supervision and monitoring activities and the completion of the SPP/APR report.

10. Other duties as assigned.
