Position and Responsibilities Overview

• Provide the leadership to create a world-class manufacturing team involved in the design and production of prefabricated and modular construction solutions for the data, telecom, defense, and industrial markets.
• Lead and direct the Manufacturing Operations function, to obtain optimum productivity and profitability, while reaching strategic goals.

• Recruit, develop, and train a high-performance team.
• Drive change transformation and strategy execution to achieve business results.
• Develop long-term plans that impact the achievement of business results.
• Develop comprehensive site capital and maintenance budgets consistent with business plans.
• Designs, implements and leads best-in-class business process including manufacturing systems optimization, supply chain development, design for manufacturing & assembly, customer satisfaction and quality improvements.
• Serve as the principal company manufacturing interface with the market and customers providing cost effective solutions for their needs.

• Responsible for the technical accuracy, quality, timely delivery, and cost effectiveness of the manufacturing operation.

• Provide manufacturing leadership in problem solving and troubleshooting of issues or problems.
• Create a team oriented working environment that fosters growth, accountability & fun.
• Facilitate, direct and drive implementation of Lean Business strategy and drive Continuous Improvement across all manufacturing related areas of the business.
• Lead value manufacturing and design optimization efforts coordinating with manufacturing to ensure the efficient production of deliverables.
• Lead the daily Manufacturing operation to ensure assigned tasks are delivered within budget, on schedule and in accordance with established policies and procedures of RKMC.

• Strong leadership skills and work ethic to enable the creation of a highly capable and sustainable Manufacturing and Operations Function
• Engineering degree or equivalent of relevant education and work experience; MBA is a plus.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in Manufacturing, Production and Construction

• Proven ability to effectively lead, supervise, hire, develop, and mentor talented manufacturing resources.
• Experience in the construction/prefabrication/modularization industries

• Demonstrated success in change management, problem solving, and solution development.
• Action-oriented and innovative in leading the Manufacturing and Operations Function
• Capable of driving change transformation and strategy execution to achieve specific business results
• Skilled in manufacturing processes of modular businesses
• Knowledgeable in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma process improvements
• Demonstrates a high level of ethical behavior in exercising judgment and discretion in matters of significance
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence
• Outstanding interpersonal with ability to build relationships with employees & customers.
• Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimize team performance

• Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

• Ability to balance, kneel, squat, crouch, bend, lean, stand, walk, climb, dig, backfill and compact.

• RK Mechanical: commercial and industrial plumbing, mechanical, process and HVAC contracting.
• RK Steel: custom fabrication and manufacturing of structural steel and miscellaneous metals for various industries.
• RK Electrical: commercial and industrial electrical contracting and service.
• RK Water: groundwater dewatering and remediation, facilities water treatment and custom fabrication.
• RK Service: commercial and industrial build.
