Full-time, benefited position that is 36- 40 hours per week in the Med/Surg Department.
Responsible for managing incoming phone calls, updating staff and systems to reflect the patient flow. Preparing files/records for efficient processing. Individual is responsible for working directly with the discharge planner. The Ward Clerk will be responsible for PASARS, directing, copying, and faxing patient information to facilities for review, updating UR spread sheet/log, IDT preparation, assist with the signing of Medicare discharge papers, assist with home health, DME's, home oxygen. Performs all skills that are within the Certified Nursing Assistant scope of practice
Requirements
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent; Certified CNA. Must exhibit professionalism, excellent patient care and communication.
