Are you looking to make a positive impact on people's lives? RHD is seeking Clinicians for its Lehigh Valley ACT Team. This is a salaried position paying $52,140.86 with stipends for on-call and a $3,000 sign-on bonus ($1,500 upon successful completion of 90 days, $1,500 upon successful completion of 180 days).
LVACT Team Clinician
works with team members in collaboration with LVACT participants to provide assertive, clinically sound, mental health services. The interventions of the community team are designed to respond to the strengths and needs of adult citizens of Lehigh and Northampton Counties, diagnosed with a serious and persistent mental illness and having met the criteria for participation in the Lehigh Valley Assertive Community Treatment, the community team.
This work takes place in the community to meet people where they are, including homes, appointments, and other community locations. This position is not office-based.

Required Experience:
Two years of experience working, preferably in a community-based setting, with adults experiencing severe and persistent mental illness.
Required Education:
Master's degree in psychology, social work, or counseling.
Required Qualifications:
The ability to provide services in the community where people live, work, and socialize.
The ability and experience to make independent decisions.
Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills. Bi-lingual capabilities (English/Spanish) are valued.
Must have a valid driver's license.
The Lehigh Valley Assertive Community Treatment Team Clinician must be understanding of and interested in working with persons with severe mental illness in the community and home environment.
The Team Clinician is expected to have professional energy and competence in mental health, as well as a desire to expand their knowledge base.
The Team Clinician must be flexible and able to respond appropriately and effectively in a crisis, providing leadership in crisis resolution activities.
Essential Functions:
Support and promote the mission statement and values of Resources for Human Development and the Lehigh Valley Assertive Community Treatment Team.
Collaborate with LVACT members, and formulate a strengths-based assessment of physical, emotional, spiritual, and social status.
To participate in clinical supervision and assume an active role in identifying areas where additional training and/or support is needed.
Participate in providing training, direction for services/recovery planning, and activities designed to expand member competencies. When designated as the primary team member on the member's ITT, the clinician will conduct reviews of the service/treatment plan, assuming the role of convener for individualized treatment team meetings.
Use advanced clinical skills, competence, and best practice knowledge in collaborating with team leaders and team members in interventions designed to engage LVACT members in a trusting and supportive relationship, providing emotional support within professional boundaries.
Assist the Director, LVACT, in planning and/or conducting conferences and specialized training for members of the team and other, appropriate agency personnel. These activities will promote quality and continuity of service delivery.
Assist, as requested, in obtaining and interpreting all requested information to achieve accurate and timely submission of data.
Provide on-call coverage, this may include phone work and possibly in-person contact.
Requirements
The position requires the individual to be assertive and able to communicate well with staff, LVACT members, and the various persons and organizations with which the team has contact in the community. The Team Clinician must be organized, goal-oriented, and able to follow through with numerous and varied responsibilities.
