THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

We are seeking a Communications Manager to elevate our brand story and increase awareness of our portfolio companies through creative and timely internal and external announcements, as well as strategic content development.

In this role, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders, founders, and their teams on a range of activities including funding news and media training, consistently delivering best-in-class communications practices.

As Communications Manager, you will support our global PR and content strategy, overseeing external and internal communications, newsletters, and social media channels. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the translations of key PR assets into Japanese to ensure effective communication with internal stakeholders.

The position is based in Tokyo or Silicon Valley.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Shape the profile of Woven Capital and build relationships with VC and business media outlets. Collaborate with subject matter experts and portfolio companies to showcase innovative solutions and industry insights.
Manage the localization of PR assets in Japanese to ensure clarity and engagement for all stakeholders.
Cultivate strong relationships with media outlets, industry influencers, and stakeholders.
Drive investment announcements and Identify proactive global press opportunities
Collaborate with Toyota stakeholders and support internal communication efforts across the organization.
Represent the fund at industry events, forums, and conferences to enhance visibility and thought leadership

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

3-5 years of professional writing experience in Japanese and English, particularly in the VC and/or tech industry.
7+ years of PR experience in an agency or in-house communications, preferably in tech/investments.
Proven track record of launching and scaling communication campaigns, thought leadership initiatives, and strategic partnerships.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, constructively taking direction and feedback.
Passion for innovation and Toyota's mission.
Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Native-level proficiency in Japanese (speaking, reading, and writing) and business-level proficiency in English
