Helena tasting room.
Located off the Silverado Trail on the northern end of the Napa Valley, the tasting room showcases a beautiful view of the Napa Valley.

The Wine Educator is a primary Customer Services representative at Rombauer Vineyards ensuring adedication to the highest quality of customer satisfaction delivered with a sense of graciousness, pride,fun, and company spirit.
Promotes the sale of wine and non-wine products sold in the Tasting Room.Greets all visitors and pours wines for tasting.
Describes wines, winemaking techniques, winery history,and provides general tourist information.
Dedicated to ensuring a wonderful wine tasting experience,including the handling of disgruntled customers.
Handles routine purchasing transactions, includingoperating cash register and accounting of daily sales and bank deposits.
May assist with hospitalityspecial events as needed.Under general supervision, works as part of a team to support visitor center operations in a manner thatachieves the established financial goals, ensures a rich consumer experience, builds consumer loyaltyand reflects the brand essence.
Principal functions include cash register operations, productknowledge/education, product presentations.

Compensation:

  • Hiring rate listed:
    $22.93 / hr - $31.01 / hr + pooled tips + quarterly commission!
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

What You Will Need:

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of tasting room, customerservice, retail sales, wine industry, hospitality, team management, public relations, marketing, orteaching and educating others experience.
  • Required to be 21 years of age or older.
  • Required to lift and move product weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Required to work weekends and a flexible schedule as needed.
  • Knowledge of basic computer operation.
  • Required to engage in frequent walking and standing.
  • Required to multi-task with focus on detail and switch gears quickly.
  • Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Experienced in writing simple correspondence and procedures.
  • Experienced in conflict resolution
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using wholenumbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training,meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of thetime, with or without reasonable accommodation.
    This may be in addition to travel requirements, ifapplicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 1 year of tasting room, customer service, retail sales, wine industry,hospitality, team management, public relations, direct to consumer marketing, or wine educationexperience; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 5 years of tastingroom, customer service, retail sales or hospitality.
  • Knowledge of wine and wine production.
