Provide expertise in the development, implementation and management of effective Safety, Health and Environment programs/systems. Routinely analyzes hazardous situations and identifies alternative courses of action.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the development, documentation, improvement, and audit of site environmental, health and safety systems to assure conformance and effectiveness.

• Determine plant environmental, safety, and health requirements and analyze for compatibility with corporate practices.

• Provides expertise in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Health, Safety and Environmental programs/procedures

• Performs audits and safety inspections of work environments, processes, and operations in compliance with government regulations and industry standards

• Ensures all applicable registrations, permits, and licenses are in place and current.

• Lead activities in support of Kaizen, Safety Star Point Teams (Safety Committee), Emergency Response Teams, and other project teams.

• Participates in developing and implementing training programs for employees.

• Gathers data for the purpose of identifying, reducing, or eliminating sources of pollutants and/or hazards that affect the work environment and health of the employees

• Ensure that best practices, incidents, near misses, etc. , are communicated between facilities following established guidelines.

• Assist with regulatory-required environmental reporting, including hazardous/residual waste, air emissions, wastewater, and others

• Working knowledge of industry safety, OSHA, EPA, and other state-specific agency regulations and environmental system standards and their application to an industrial environment.

• Ability to effectively communicate environmental, health, and safety concepts, plans, and technical data.

• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required.

• May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and additional hours as necessary

• Travel up to 20%

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor"s Degree (preferred in Environmental, Health, and Safety)

• 5+ years of relevant Health, Safety, and Environment regulations/standards experience

• Safety Regulatory Experience

• Professionally recognized safety or environmental certification (ASP, GSP, CSP, CIH, CHMM).

• RCRA Hazardous Waste Management training in accordance with 40 CFR 262. 34.

• DOT training in accordance with 49 CFR 172. 700-704.

• 40 hour initial and 8-hour refresher training in accordance with 29 CFR 1910. 120 (HAZWOPER).

• ISO 14001 experience.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Knowledge of SAP, Benchmark Gensuite, HumanTech and/or other EHS-related software.

• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills to drive tasks to completion

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management tools

Proporcionar experiencia en el desarrollo, implementación y gestión de programas/sistemas efectivos de seguridad, salud y medio ambiente. Analiza rutinariamente situaciones peligrosas e identifica cursos de acción alternativos.

Responsabilidades:

• Determinar los requisitos ambientales, de seguridad y de salud de la planta y analizarlos para comprobar su compatibilidad con las prácticas corporativas.

• Proporcionar experiencia en el desarrollo, la implementación y el mantenimiento de programas y procedimientos de salud, seguridad y medio ambiente.

• Realizar auditorías e inspecciones de seguridad de entornos de trabajo, procesos y operaciones de conformidad con las normas gubernamentales y los estándares de la industria.

• Asegurarse de que todos los registros, permisos y licencias correspondientes estén en su lugar y actualizados.

• Liderar actividades en apoyo de Kaizen, Safety Star Point Teams (Comité de seguridad), equipos de respuesta a emergencias y otros equipos de proyectos.
